The Gallery of Modern Art is housed in an inconic building, built in 1778 by the tobacco baron Lord William Cumminghame, and also previously home to Glasgow’s telephone exchange.
Glasgow is world famous for its artists who live, work and study in the City. Indeed, Glasgow artists regularly appear on the shortlist for the annual Turner prize.
Intermezzo can offer tours of the building which include the history of Glasgow’s tobacco trade, the City’s financial legacy as well as Glasgow’s current place in the contemporary art world.
